Ivo Andric won a Nobel Prize for "A Bridge on the Drina." It was repaired after World War I. Did it survive the wars of the 1990s? Was it ever in danger during those times?

There is a town called Višegrad, in Bosnia. Not to be confused with the town Visegrád which is in Hungary.

Bosnia and Herzegovina are presently trying to find a way to live in peace. Turkey is trying to 'bridge' the gap between the two. Symbolic of course so they are literally repairing the bridges. Two years ago they repaired the Mostar Bridge and
are presently reinforcing the foundation of the Drina bridge.
