It doesn't help you get pregnant, but it will help your baby get off to a good start, since it will start developing before you even know your pregnant. It will also help reduce the risk of birth defects and miscarriage.

No.
It is best to take prenatal vitamins and 400mg of folic acid (up to 1000mg) at least 3 months before trying to conceive. It greatly reduces the risk of birth defects and helps promote a healthy baby and pregnancy.

Only if you have low iron or are anemic or about to embark on infertility treatments. Otherwise, the only reason to take them is for the folic acid, but you can take a separate pill for that. So many women get sick from prenatal vitamins, that I just can't recommend them unless you are pregnant. Just take regular vitamins and a folic acid supplement. If you are overweight (more than 165 lbs.) or have any family with neural tube defects, contact your doctor for a prescription because a much higher dose is recommended.

prenatals dont help you become pregnant, they just get your body ready for when you do become pregnant and they also help the baby when you are.
