Freestanding: meaning a building which sits alone on a lot of land.
If it's not located inside of the mall, it would be freestanding.

And yes, for those who do not know Chic-Fil-A is a fast food joint which specializes in Chicken. They say they created the "original chicken sandwich" which consist of a fried, boneless chicken breast, two pickles and a bun

We recently got a freestanding one in my town, too. I think they're an awesome company and I love that they're growing so much. :)

Only in the Mall. In the next state over (which is just a few min away) they have them everywhere.

what does freestanding mean? and if this is a fast food place...NO...

walmart, burger king mcdonalds...their all an hour and a half away from me

I've only seen them in malls only. I assume there are some in their hometown of Atlanta. Just ain't seen em myself.
