It is clear that I am asking a "What if" style question. This poll dosen't exsist...the question is
- What do you think the results of such a poll would be.
If the poll exsisted I would simply post the results.

I know you are probably thinking that Democrats would have more unemployed supporters than the GOP because Dems support more welfare, but I don't think this is true. I think that it would be about even because just because someone is on welfare doesn't mean they don't work. It usually is a single parent who needs help with finances and most welfare programs nowdays require you to get a job. So I will say 55/45 with the favor the the Republicans.

As for my affiliation I am a Democrat but not a far left wing liberal. I do agree with some Republican views but tend to favor the left.

Reps only have about 40% over dems. I thought it was a larger spread but apparently some dems are employed.

I think 50% of Dems are employed and the rest hold their hands out. About 90% of Rep. are employed since thier hands are busy working, they vote to keep the majority of their money in their own pockets and work to keep it out of the hands of others!
Party? guess..

Kansas has the most welfare recipients (Kansas is a red state).

Most of the recipients of welfare and other government aid come from "Red" States, so I would think that means most of the unemployed are Republicans.
