for the columbia application there are a series of questions that are limited to 300 characters and one says the following:

List the books you read for pleasure in the past year: Please list books and separate them with commas. Please note, DO NOT use hard returns in your responses.

do i list the books or do i write them out in sentence form?do i include authors?
plz help

Basically, what they don't want is a list of single book titles on separate lines, probably due to the space limitation.
So, instead of this:
The Cat and the Hat by Dr. Seuss,
Three Blind Mice by Mother Goose,
ect.

They want this:
The Cat and the Hat by Dr. Seuss, Three Blind Mice by Mother Goose, ect.

They do not need to be in sentence form, but authors would probably be good.

list the titles and put commas inbetween titles

like this:

The Old Man and the Sea, To Kill a Mockingbird, The House of Scorpion, etc.

List the books. Put commas between the titles.

That is what the directions say
