So far, so good. But I'll give you a couple of pointers for high school:

take ALL honors classes

take at least 4/5 of your electives in "academic" classes (E.G. science electives or government electives, not cooking, pottery, note-taking, etc)

Take at least 6 AP classes all together (assuming you can start sophomore year) and get at least 3 5s and 3 4s.

Get at least a 32/36 act or 1400/1600 sat.

Maintain at least a 3.9 gpa.

Have GREAT relationships with your teachers, especially those which see something good in you, witnessed you do something for your community or was also your coach, or who teach a subject that pertains to your future major--in otherwords, leave NO stone unturned, be nice and welcoming to EVERYONE, and then some) <
Join 3-4 or so extra curriculars your fresh year, and narrow it down to 2 or 3 your soph year. Get into LEADERSHIP positions in those activities. Be sure to do community service, too!

--I don't mean to stress you out, seeing as you're still young, but when I was in 7th and 8th grade, I hated it when people wouldn't answer my questions, assuming that I was too young to worry--

Good Luck!

Well right now you are still a little too young, but I'll give you a tip. Keep up with the soccer thing. If you are good at it, believe me that will be your ace in the hole to get in anywhere(assuming you want to play in college) Keep up the god work in soccer, and take advantage of every opportunity you get to get better. It seems as if you understand the value of high grades so I will not go into that.

You're in eighth grade. Everything you've done so far is great, but colleges aren't even going to look at anything you've done prior to freshman year, if that. Just keep your grades up and stay active and involved with your extracurriculars, and you can worry about college after you've actually built up a high school record and had some exposure to the SATs.

I think it is a little early to tell. Keep getting As, get a high score on the SATs and do lots of activities in HS and youwill have a shot.
