i bought myself a european vacation. London, Paris, and Rome for 2 weeks, and ate and drank and didnt worry about money when i was there. cost me about $4000. I just got back, and i miss it already. best money i spent this year.

The only thing that comes close is my dog: but he was $500.
Oh, the carpet in my house! That was a little over $1000. Much needed and MUCH APPRECIATED carpet!

bit more than that and it was two holidays for my kids and i ,not because we wanted them , we needed them ,it was on the old credit card so i will be paying for them for the next year but it did us the world of good so for me money well spent i say !!
