Pakistan has a lot of nuclear bombs. They are "safe" right now, but with the country so close to collapse, I am REALLY concerned about all those nukes, especially with the Taliban running around in Pakistan's mountains!! Good Lord, please spare us the horrors of an Al-Quaida with a nuclear bomb!! Or the Hezbola......I would rather that India would over-run Pakistan and grab the bombs (and the country) than to see it fall into the hell that is Sudan or Somalia and wonder with the rest of the world where the bombs are....

Yes, very much I am really concerned on the events unfolding in Pakistan ! The death of Benazir Bhutto is a great loss to to the nation. The political instability and poor governance of the state by Musharraf coupled with their stockpile nuclear arsenal is a serious concern for all those who love freedom and democracy around the world! USA is backing Musharraf on reasons of its own and if at all he is eliminated like Madam Benazir, there is all likely hood of our fear becoming alive that Osama has the access to the nuclear room with a key in one hand and a speaker on the other, announcing to the USA, " Dear President, now I have the hold on the nukes and before I detonate in the good cities of US, release all my man across Iraq, USA etc and leave Iraq, unconditionally and send me USD a billion from your personal account !"

If you can believe the news reports the Military in Pakistan is in control of the Nuclear Weapons. I think they are a bit more level headed than the mobs of shrieking mourners that filled the streets. I think Musharraf is on his way out and the country will be run by the Military for some time. India is the wild card though. Fasten your seatbelts kids, we're in for a bumpy ride.

In the long run they can be pretty bad. Musharraf's playing both sides in the terror war has gotten a new lease on life. We're bound to see wave after wave of attacks staged out this latest terrorist sanctuary.
In the short run, it's better than having India and Pakistan facing off again and rattling their nuclear weapons over their disputed province. I'm sure that back in '03, I wasn't the only "Kashmir sweater."

Bhutto's assassination will have severe consequences throughout the region and will likely affect foreign policy decisions in the west as well. Pakistan has been unstable for quite some time now, however this may just tip the scales. i am very concerned about the extremists overpowering the military and gaining access to the nuclear weapons. also, i wonder how al qaeda and the taleban will use this to their advantage.

I, personally, do not trust Musharaff . There has been a lot of apparent corruption within his administration after he has sworn to erase it.
He has declared a state of emergency, once just to simply delay the election to stay in office longer. I will not be at all surprised if there is hard evidence found proving they are harboring terrorists and supporting al-Qaeda.
The nation is about to plunge into absolute chaos. The people are blindly furious, and they will take their revenge. Pakistan has nuclear weapons, and that spells disaster if it falls into the wrong hands.
I think we're in for one hell of a decade.

You cant ignore the one without thinking about the other. Here is an unstable country that has nuclear power. Now if this should, God forbid, fall into the wrong hands , then the world will have a huge problem. This could be a situation far more dangerous than Iran or Iraq
