Yeah when I was really depressed and thought that no one liked me in the world. I had a fantasy that I'd spend all my time in one room, in my pajamas. I'd have a computer with Internet access and a television, no phone obviously.
Now I know that's not true but I still need to be alone, as a 14 year old girl. Sometimes being around people so much gets to me and I need to be by myself, so I can think and breathe.

Because some people who care and I mean really care need to know your ok it's fine having space but not fine having to much space you also need to mix you can still come to terms with a grief and live yourself and allow someone in who knows might just be the one who really helps us come to terms with a grief and another thing you also have to look at that persons life who was lost and make it mean something not let it be in vain or else what was it all for. I do understand Bex but I'm speaking from my own experience too.

Oh yes,Bex - for the past few days and more - ever since I finished dealing with the death of my brother (the paperwork and so on I mean).
I never felt that way before even as a teenager - but I do now and I just wish that others would respect my feelings for a change.

Yes I have felt like that Bex - it is normal to have these feelings after something traumatic has happened so that you can work through it and recharge the batteries. As to people not respecting that you want to be left alone - don't be too hard on them as it is only because they care and want to make sure you are ok. If they didn't then we would still grumble wouldn't we!! xx

yes everyone feels this but you will get the few who try to get you to come out to soon they don't mean any harm really there hurting too just in a different way we don't all grieve the same some hit the bottle some close the door some get angry some want to help the ones who can't deal with it so don't be too harsh !!

AND THEN THERE WAS ME!
I'm far too nosey and afraid I might miss something !
I often go away for a few days in Spain or Tenerife etc 'cos I'm lucky that I can but I'm still always on the phone to one or other of the kids or mums to find out about the weather,BB EE or to ask who has been born, married or died whilst I have been gone ! -and I'm still in the airport !!!!!

I felt this way after I had a miscarriage at five months pregnant. I did not want to answer the door, the phone or see anyone.

Yeah, I've felt this way before. Maybe when something is really bothering me, or when someone said something that really hurt me inside. Then, I just don't feel like saying anything to anyone at all. You know, it's just one of those moments we all have.
