I am anti gun. I was mortified when my state of missouri passed a concealed weapons law. But now Im wondering. Maybe gay people should take advantage of the concealed weapon right in states where it exists. Perhaps there would be less gay bashing if the bashers thought 50% of us were armed at all times.

I have a gun/pistol hope not to use it unless I have to. Its legal here to carry everywhere. I know how to use one I was raised in a "deer hunting' family we target practiced all the time.

I live in the UK, where law-abiding civilians do not carry (or need to carry) guns, and I say, NO, absolutely not.

Apart from the bizarre idea that possession of a weapon of offence is a defensive act, consider this possibility; if the 'bashers' you speak of realise that their victims are routinely armed, they will simply arm themselves and shoot, rather than fight. People who would have been beaten up will instead be killed. There won't be any less bashing, but that bashing will be more often fatal.

If you have a gun, you are more likely to end up shooting someone by accident (i.e. unexpected discharge, the wrong person) than by design. I don't think that carrying a concealed weapon, or the likelihood of a concealed weapon, will make much difference - if anything, it's likely to make the bashers carry themselves and shoot first.

Bullets don't take into account sexual orientation. We all run the risk of getting robbed or taking a stray round in the city.

As an American you should arm yourself. You don't need a cannon. You're only going to be working in a 10 -15 foot circle in most cases.

No you shouldn't have to arm yourselves. This is supposed to be the "great" United States of America.....it's sad that you or anyone would have to consider being armed because of so many people's ignorance. We all should be able to be whoever we are and be proud. Good luck to you and I hope you make the best decision for yourself.

More guns in the streets is not what we need, but if you have to, get trained and familiarize yourself with the weapon.

it makes sense to carry a weapon for self defense even if you're not gay.

i don't agree with that law, but i really don't think that that is a good idea we are no longer in the wild west! think about that...you think some guy is cute and you approach him, and you scare or startle him and he pulls out a gun and shoots you? i don't think that is very smart!
