My cousins states I can hunt in my own land? what are laws?

He said if he owned my land 4.5 acres, he would hunt quails and rabbits using one of those air rifles you can get without a license? Is this legal? I live in arizona.

You still would have to have a hunt license and the game has to be in season. Also the state of Arizona has a 1/4 mile law. You can't shoot and or hunt within a quarter mile of an occupied structure. Also keep in mind if you live in the city limits hunting isn't allowed per city code. It is a class 2 felony in the state of Arizona to shoot inside the city limits.
