I need to get a portable music system and I don't know what to get. I need the unit to be inexpensive and easy to upload music to.

iPod. Sure, it MAY be expensive, but it holds more songs than an mp3 player, and has a longer (auto) battery life. If you intend to buy a docking station to go with it, all you have to do is stick it in the appropriate slot, and it'll recharge on its own. With an mp3, you'd better make sure you have lots of AAA batteries, because those players drain the energy out of them. However, if you're worried about paying for songs on an iPod, I suggest you move up here to Canada. Here, you won't have to worry about that.

I have had an iPod for two years and I love it!
Although iPods are a bit more expensive than MP3s, I think it is worth the money.
But if you are going for inexpensive and easy, you should definitely consider getting an MP3 player.

I would go for an IPOD. You can find songs online for free. (Eg; search Fins.mp3 (or any other song you want) on google and you should be able to find a site that will allow you to download it.) But an mp3 player is a 'lil bit more expensive. But believe me an IPOD works very well.

Mp3. Its less expensive than an ipod and less confusing. On an ipod you have to pay for your songs, but with an mp3 its all free. Trust me mp3 is much better.. I gave my ipod back and got an mp3.

i would chose a ipod....there easy.....and ya you have to buy songs but once you have them there yours..my friend has an MP3 and every month or so they have to renew thier subcrition.
