The 10K refers to the purity of the gold. Pure gold is 24K, but gold is too soft to make decent jewelry without mixing it with other metals. Usually the stuff you find in stores is 10K (42% gold) or 14K (52% gold).

The CR RUBY means "created ruby". The stones are chemically the same as natural ruby and look like natural ruby but happen to be man-made. This does not affect their beauty, appeal or durability. The 3.32 refers to the total carat weight (size) of the created rubies.

The DIA means "diamond" - hard to tell exactly what it is referring to, but I would guess that on the jewelry there are some small natural diamonds accompanying or surrounding the rubies.

No worries - it's "real jewelry" and is not going to be affected by water, wear or anything else. I hope you enjoy wearing it, and that this gift was given and received with love and joy.

he did GOOD!!.... he got a good deal on it, too!.. and, the ten karat gold is strong and will last a lot longer than the softer, higher karat gold..... so you'll have it a long time!...
