I would like to start selling my peek-a-boo, shy babies and other crafts i made, but i don't know how to go about it. I live in center county - Bellefonte, Pa. and would love to join in and get a craft stand at all the craft events.

Craft events go down to just about zero this time of year, but the way I find them is I go to my newspaper website and use their search tool to look for "Craft Fair" and "craft show". Look for fairs that are scheduled a couple of months ahead because those are the ones that will still have space. You may still be able to get in on a Valentine one if there are any. If you can, use the search to find craft shows that were held at this time last year, and contact the people to ask if they will be doing it again.

I live practically "next door" in Lycoming County! This is how a friend of mine did it: she started by calling local craft stores and asking about any events they knew of, and checking out their bullitein boards. She also kept a keen eye out in the newspaper. Events like craft shows often advertise for vendors well in advance. She has attended everything from school craft shows to county fairs to church fundraisers. The more you meet other vendors at these shows, the more "in the loop" you will be about other events around Centre County and surrounding areas. Maybe Penn State even has a contact list or a co-op list for home based businesses you could be listed in? Best of luck!
