We had 8 years of Clintons, but no Universal Healthcare, no Debt, no war?

How come we had 8 years of Clintons and they didn't
give us any Universal Healthcare?

And plus... Clintons didn't have any reason to put us in DEBT, because terrorists didn't attack USA during that time.

All they do is sit back and do nothing...

And let the country pay back the debt....

And Bill Clinton had plenty of time to get suck on.

Anybody can do that... I can be President and
just let taxpayers pay off the debt...

And plus... you guys act like Republican presidents are the only one a warmonger...

I can tell you exactly why we didn't have it. I remember it well. She had worked her butt off on a Health Care Plan and when she went to propose it the Good Ole Boy Republican club went to work and nixed it. Had they left her alone, we would have already had a Health Care Plan in place. There was a deficit that Clinton had to overcome when he took office and he did it also leaving office with the US economy in great shape. We Democrats don't think all Republicans are bad, but we pretty much all agree, as well as a lot of Republicans, that Bush is horrible.

Clintons had a surplus. They tried to start a healthcare system, but it didnt work out. I think too many americans think its communism. If they do think that - they better NOT move to Canada because by their definition, Canada is a communist country - Canada has socialistic medicine.

Clinton bombed Iraq and Libya. He continued the strict sanctions on Iraq. Its a wonder they didnt attack USA. They had every right to.

Bush took the surplus and in 7 years has given it all to the military and to ISRAEL. he did not pay for roads, hospitals, bridges, schools (which by the way are also socialistic uses of your taxes). Bridges and roads are collapsing, schools and hospitals are closing because they cannot be repaired.

Besides many blame the Clinton administration for the 9/11 attacks. Because Bill had a chance to catch Bin Laden back in the 90's, but decided NOT to! He didn't feel Bin Laden was a risk! LOL!

Clinton gave america prosperity domestically and internationally. My stock portfolio jumped 4 times in value under clinton, and halfed under bush.

George W. Bush had already increased spending greatly long before 9/11, and Reagan and George H. W. Bush spent like drunken teenagers even when there wasn't a war. One could even argue that the Iraq war was started as an excuse to increase military spending further. We haven't been given a more plausible justification, and it certainly has been profitable for Bush and Cheney, thanks to Halliburton (can you say "conflict of interest"?). Clinton did more than just cut military spending. He introduced welfare reforms and other changes that helped to balance the budget, and he did it without raising taxes (George H. W. Bush's infamous "no new taxes" promise didn't stop him from raising existing taxes). George W. Bush's much-touted tax cuts only affect the wealthiest 1% or less. Did you see any change in your taxes? I didn't. That tax rebate after he took office was just a lame stunt to appease his supporters. He was just cleaning out the surplus left by Clinton, but 99% of us haven't seen any other tax benefits. I think I spent my entire rebate the next time I filled my gas tank.

Your absolutely right, I think democrats are frustrated with Republicans because they can't get anything right, they fail every time they have a brilliant idea, and no matter how hard they try to take this country, and it's President down it back fires on them. Pitiful aren't they?

When Clinton took office the deficit was at an all time high. He produced a surplus. We had the greatest period of prosperity during peacetime in modern history. His Health care plan was defeated by Republicans after a campaign of misinformation paid for by the insurance lobby.
