Masters of Magic?

I downloaded the old Masters of Magic and DOSBox. I don't know how to use either. Could anyone provide a step by step process on how to get the game to work on a modern XP machine?

I also recommend purchasing the game through gog.com. It's frequently on sale, and the game is pre-configured to run on modern systems. It's very easy to run.
