I have stayed at the Circus Circus in 1997, and I hated it(my sister did too!). Although the room was only $39 a night, it was very dumpy in the worst part of the hotel besides. As soon as my sister and I got there, the electronic key lock was broken, and we had to wait a fairly long time for security to let us in. In addition, there was no shade on the lamp! Furthermore, the staff was very unfriendly. And the place as a whole is very cheesy!

I have never stayed at the Imperial Palace, but I heard it's ok if a bit austere. The casino is rather dingy, but there's a cool auto museum on the second floor.

Two places I've stayed at in Vegas that I highly recommend are the Rio and The Flamingo Hilton. Both of these hotels have tastefully decorated rooms, good shops and restaurants, nice casinos with pretty good odds, and attractive landscaping.

It depends on who is coming with you on the trip. If you want to go to circus circus, I'm going there for New Years, then it's perfect if you have children and are not that disgusted with children running around and screaming. Although it may seem "old", it's very kid-friendly and all the staff members and maids are very nice. I've always been there for the trips and usually, we stay for a couple days and if we want more shampoo or towels, they'll give it to us without assuming we'll steal them like some of the previous hotels- Stardust and Frontier. I've never been to the Imperial Palace, but I'm assuming that's just for grown-ups. Well then it might be more expensive and for hotels in Las Vegas, you really get what you pay for. Hope I helped.

They're both dumps.

But the imperial palace is near the middle of the strip while circus circus is way down at the far end. So, imperial palace would probably be a better choice.

Though I haven't stayed there, I would choose the Imperial Palace. It is in the middle of the Strip. Circus Circus is at the end of the strip near all the old hotels.

Both hotels are dumps. The Imperial Palace is conveniently located in the middle of the Strip, so it more in the action than Circus Circus. There are so many nice hotels on the Strip that you can choose from. Harrahs; Bally's; The Flamingo. These places are better hotels and good prices.

I wouldn't stay at either. I would stay at the Tropicana. You get a better rate, a clean room and the staff is very nice there. You are right by the NYNY and the MGM Grand and you can just walk or take the Deuce up the strip. I have read nothing good at all about either of the hotels you are thinking of. The Circus Circus is even farther north than you would like to be and the Imperial is not the greatest at all.....not very clean and slow slow (did I say slow) elevators.

Don't go to Circus Circus! It's quite far down from everything else....not sure about Imperial Palace. My recommendation would be the Flamingo.

Hi--Circus Circus definitely--It actually has a theme and is on the strip--is a circus-themed 3,774 room hotel.Circus Circus features free circus acts throughout different times of the day. They have this awesome adventure park called adventuredome, and is in the heart of the Las Veags Strip.

Have a great time! Wish I was going! lol.

The Imperial is nicely located in the middle of everything. Circus circus is newer, fancier, but not necessary.

Imperial is a good choice.
