It is no big deal. I will bring a good book and a MP3 with me. There are lines no matter time of day at the airport.

Flying is not normally "bad." The only wild airplane ride I has on a passenger plane was when I was going to Las Vegas in the summer and there was a storm. Even that ride was mild compared to a kiddy ride at and amusement park. If you can handle a roller coaster, you can handle a passenger plane. Don't drink too much before hand because while the plane is on the ground, you won't be allowed to use the restroom.

Take a deep breath, flying is the safest type of travel. My dad is a pilot, so I've been on planes MILLIONS of times. It's absolutly no big deal, if anything it's fun. Just remember in security not to have any liquids or sharp things in your carry on's, or they'll confiscate the stuff. Bring a book, or some kind of entertainment for the flight, and time will just fly by. Have a great time, flying is fun!!! And don't let people creep you out with stories of things like terrorists and crashing, that never happens, except in movies and TV shows.
Have fun,
Hanna

Flying is no big deal. You spend two hours waiting in an airport to get on a plane. Once you are up in the sky and not climbing, you get a nice coke or juice and pretzels OR you can purchase a meal. Sit by the window and watch the world go buy, bring a book and read, or nap.

The only negative besides the airport hassle is there are only two bathrooms in the back for coach passengers and one in the front for first class. Otherwise it is just like sitting in a bus.

naturally im afraid of flying. but ive flown quite a bit. las vegas to michigan alot, and to hawaii. the hardest scariest part of flying is the take off.. mostly becuase of anticipation - its like going up the big hill on a rollercoaster. its rough and shakey and feels unstable (just feels). i usually grab my bf's hand and hold my breath - it doesnt last long. once your off the ground (about 30 seconds) most of the turbulence from take off will be done and then you will have about 20 more minutes or so of ascent (going up) while you plane reaches its elevation.. then its just smooth sailing. i reccommend bringing along stuff to do books, portable dvd player is great! you'll still get some bumps every now and then from air pockets - like pot holes in the sky. when you come in to land, alot of time the plane will have to turn around so that they come in from the correct side of the runway, so dont be alarmed if you feel the plane tip a little.. landing is just as loud as taking off, if not louder becuase the breaks are squeeling to stop, but thats normal, its what makes them work. don't worry about the flight, you'll see its not so scary. -oh and bring gum to help your ears pop with the elevation otherwise your head and sinuses will feel stuffy and you'll hear funny for a while.

It's a long flight, so take a book. Been there many times, only 1 problem flight when it was soooo hot on the plane. So wear layers, plane can be too warm or cool. Take some gum to chew for take off and beginning of flight. Will help prevent ear pressure issues.

Have a great time!

Just try to get to the airport early, don't freak out. Check in early, hold on to your boarding pass. Pack everything that you need although you can buy pretty much everything in Vegas (but a little bit pricier) and HAVE FUN!!

Take a 1/2 of Valium or Ambien. You will be relaxed and sleepy and won't care about the first flight fears.
