When I turn on my computer, it says "Alert. Previous Fan Error" What is it talking about & what should I do?

I suspect this is a message allerting you that the fan failed before and that you need to make sure it works. I further suspect it may have overheated and shut down.

Certain computer makers have such alarms to protect you. Check with your manual - or with the computer maker to see how to remove the message.
