Alright. So, about a year ago me and my brother purchased World of Warcraft, and created a shared account. Then the expansion came out and we bought that, and upgraded the shared account. Now we've come to the point where we each need our own accounts, but according to blizzard's website only 1 authentication key per game account. So... I'm wondering, do I have to go and purchase my own copy of burning crusade to make an account, or do I have to purchase both that AND the classic version of WoW? Or is there any other cheaper way to get an authentication key?

I think it's pretty stupid to buy a whole other copy when I already have one. u-u;;

As the first poster noted, you will need to buy both games to get the keys to create another account.

Technically, you and your brother are currently breaking Blizzards TOS for shared accounts. The smart thing to do would be to create a second account.

You have to buy a copy of the original and the BC expansion pack. (When you buy it, you only buy one license agreement, not two.) I believe the Newbie Pack or Battlechest from GameStop is cheaper than buying the two base games separately, but you may want to research that.

However, whoever keeps the original account will get all the characters; you can't transfer characters between accounts. So one of you has to start over.

if your puzzled approximately upgrading then you definitely prolly shouldn't play wow.. yet yea, you need to use your frinds CDs to place in the sport on your computing gadget..although, you need to purchase the serial game identity from snow fall to sign in your account, so ex: international of Warcraft ($20) Burning campaign approximately ($20) Lich King ($40).. once you sign in the completed account you will get a month unfastened, then its $15/ month after that... reliable luck, and dont roll on equipment thats no longer to your class

OK, woodmutt, stop LECTURING PEOPLE, THEY DIDN'T ASK FOR IT. And message blizzard about your problem, or they may make complete douches of themselves. I guess the only legal way would be to buy them again T_T
god blizzard is expensive

ACTUALLY, now you can transfer chracters...it's expensive though beware
