I crawl into a good book every nite to relax and get ready for sleep. They are the best sleeping pill around.Unless it is a scarey book and those I try to save for daylight.

I read. But, if it's summer, I'll grab a few things, and build a fire in the firepit in my back yard. Sit out there, watching the fire. Sipping on some bottled water or something. Very calming.
Sometimes in the summer, I'll go down to the beach and go for a long walk. Watch the water.
But it's winter now. Not a good idea to have a fire, as the firepit is covered with snow. No fireplace in the house. The water at the beach is half covered with snow and ice.
So, I read. Or, grab a cup of hot chocolate, and watch the snow swirl around outside my window.

I like to crochet . It forces me to concentrate on what I'm doing and so clears my mind of any stressors. I also enjoy listening to music on the radio or a good talk show like "Coast to Coast" . Reading was always something that I enjoyed but I find now there is just too much going on in my life right now that if I do try to read ,I end up reading the same page over and over.

One or two glasses of wine, a warm blanket on the couch and some mind numbing TV put me to sleep every time. In the summertime I like to lounge in the hammock in the backyard and listen to the freeway and the sounds of nature.. and have another glass of wine. Now that is really relaxing!
?... that's just how my husband relaxes too.

I'm saving up some $ to go to the shootin' range...I find that this has helped me to relax in the past, so since I haven't gone in many years, I'm gonna try it again! I hope they allow shotguns. If not, then I'll have to rent a hand-gun. That's why I'm savin' up some money...to blow it off! Nothing else seems to be working for me these days, so,... a blast from the past otta do me some good.

Well I get a tub of hot water ready, with the hot water still running just enough to keep the water hot in the tub. I get me a cup of hot Cappuccino. Turn the heater on that is in my bed. Then crawl off into the tub with my Cappuccino. Soak in the hot water for a long while, until the Cappuccino is gone as I just sip on it. Then I get out, dry off, get in the warm bed, then watch a movie on TV.

A cup of coffee with a shot of kaluha and a fun movie or good game usually does the trick.
A nice hot bath too listening to soft music could put me to sleep.

I listen to music, usually on a classical station on the radio, particularly a late-night show called "Nocturne" which features soft, slower music (Debussy, Ravel, Satie, Mozart, etc.) It is very relaxing and beautiful.
