Although I am retired I now work another job and most of the time it is from 6pm to 6am. My wife works days. I also snore a fair amount so I sleep in a spare bedroom so it gives us both the rest we need.

When the kids come home to visit, it gets a little dicey. As far as separate rooms for anything else.....no. Never has bothered our love life either.

Tc can't sleep if I'm not there next to him & vice versa. When I was in hospital for 12 days last year he slept on the sofa, what little sleep he got bless him.
We've both got arthritis & the slightest movement from each other can cause each other more pain, Tc snores, sometimes REALLY loudly but he says I do too lol, & I "grunt" which wakes him up & sometimes I wake myself up lol, but despite all these things we cannot imagine having to have seperate beds or worse still, seperate rooms. We'd never sleep again!!!

Single now-but seperate rooms for the last 5 years of our marriage. It started out because I had been in an accident and needed a regular type bed and he refused to give up "our" waterbed, that I was physically incapable of getting in and out of. I began to see then just how selfish he was in many things and as I said-Single now. Don't think I could share a bed with someone again. Got too used to having it all to myself.

No room mate, I live alone except for my 5 baby kittens that will soon be living outside all the time. Then I will be alone again. From time to time they try to run me out of my own bed, so I have to show them who is boss. I will share my bed with them, but they aren't going to take it, lol.

No we don't.
We sleep in separate houses, also. My lovely wife (not being sarcastic) determined that her life would be better if I wasn't part of it.

Note to snorers and mates of snorers. Please have a sleep study done. Snoring can be symptom of obstructive sleep apnea and is a serious health risk. It also might bring some back to the same bed again.

Nope. He says that I snore too loudly, and he moved into the spare room.

That's OK with me. Now I can decorate with stuff I like. I can use the whole closet and all the dresser drawers.

We shared a motel room for one night, just before Christmas. I was very wakeful, and discovered that he makes lots and lots of noise when he sleeps, too.

We do! Would not have it any other way. I love knowing he is there beside me, and I hope he feels the same way. If we wake up together, we spend time in bed just talking about our day to come, and finally someone gets up and starts breakfast. It is always a nice way to start the day, and I like having him to cuddle next to on a cold night.

Yes. My grandparents got twin beds because my grandfather would throw his arms around. After getting a few bloody noses, my grandmother insisted on twin beds.
So far we don't have that problem....after almost 39 years. She just makes a cocoon from time to time and leaves my butt hanging out.
