Who cares what others think? If you like them and they fit you and they are comfortable, who cares what they think. Most people are jealous when they bad mouth you or your stuff. Ignore the comments. Material things are not what really matters in life. When you die, you cannot take them with you. Tell them to find other things more useful to argue about.

I've seen knock-offs (fakes) in many shoe stores, especially sports stores but they don't charge as much for those as they do the authentic pair. If you paid a very low price for them and you know they go for much more than you paid, they probably are knock-offs. The picture isn't very good because it's so small. It's difficult to tell if they're real but Bapes go for anywhere from $59.99 to 79.99, or so it seems.
The person who said they look like Nike Air shoes is dead wrong! Nike or any knock-off of a Nike never made a star that large on a shoe. I couldn't find your particular shoe on the Bape site but there are many like it...just not in your color scheme. Call the store and ask them if they're authentic. They are obliged to tell you if they are not! Also take a good look at the box and the shoe as to style number and the Bape logo. Check out this pic on Bapes Shoe Store site. They are similar to yours and you can see the logos they use!

I dunno, but I'd take 'em back anyway. There is so much red on the back that it detracts from the star, so the design really looks a bit careless or sloppy.
