well hillary: i shall tell you why this broke my heart. How and why i took it personally.
I have a son who is now 19 luckily.
At 13 he was attacked by a pit bull,it treat him as his kill.Nobody could get near to help my son as the dog was attacking them.(i was not present ) It took for a lad to get badly bitten himself to get my son(who was now losing conciousness) away from the dog.His injuries were so bad a W,P,C vomited when she saw them.
He was a promising young athlete and had a future career as a footballer,he lost all hope of that, that night.Through this he sunk into depression and has just finally came out of it.He is now doing sports psychology and making a go of his life in that field.I can't tell you how proud and pleased i am to have him still in my life xx
Thats why i took it personal,I hope you understand.

Poor wee soul. I remember last New Years Eve, a little girl was mauled to death by her uncles dog, it had attacked her mother before that, and the gran was babysitting, and let the dog into the house because it was scared of the fire works, at midnight, this was after several drinks, and dope! Believe the dog should not have been in the house with the young girl, the gran was charged, but I'm sure she was let off, to live with the guilt for the rest of her life!

When I first read this I thought for a second you were talking about the same story that happened right here in Australia a day or two ago. I had tears streaming down my face as it was broadcast on the evening news and then I read it and its not the same one...Another rottie but this little bub was just 9 weeks old :(
Devastating like no words can describe are the results for my news search...Too many, far too many:( The list just goes on and on for these kind of attacks...We need some action NOW!...

There are a few breeds of dogs that should never be trusted especially with small children. German shepherds, Rottweilers and Bull Terriers in fact most terriers tend to be snappy. I know some people will say well my Alsatian is a real softy but then its too late. Keep small children away from dogs or at least be with them to protect them. My heart goes out to the parents of this little baby.

these bloody dogs should be muzzled at all times when children are about,
i have never understood why anyone would want one as a pet,and before any of you say it's down to the training of the dogs, bollocks to that, this happens time and time again, how many more attacks does it take?before somthing is done about them,
reading things like this in paper p!$$es me off.

How many more have to die before real legislation is brought in to protect the public from dangerous dogs.
When will the police uphold the current laws relating to these dogs and the OWNERS of them.

It is extremely sad,but so many people blame the dog in situations like this, too many people use dogs like weapons nowadays,I'm not saying that this is the case here but it happens.

God, i hate it when i hear these stories. Poor boy, i just hope he didn't suffer for too long. I would never allow my child to be near a big dog anyway. My thoughts and prayers are with his parents....
