This is the story of my life.
You have two options.
Either go by yourself and enjoy it.
Or find an acquaintance that you know who has a real passion for music. Usually these are the people who are open-minded enough and enthusiastic to be exposed to different music.
If you end up forcing one of your friends to go they'll just bring your experience down and you won't have fun.

I have a good answer for that. post a craigslist ad that you are looking for a group of people to go to a certain show with... I had my friend do that for a show that was 3 hours from us and it turned out very well for him. he met up with a very cool girl. it didnt have the pressure of a blind date or anything it was just to talk to someone with the same interests. but i will say be cautious, talk with them prior you dont wanna get yourself involved in some sort bad situation. good luck!
