I would definitely recommend seeking professional advice even if you can only afford it temporarily. As for foods, it's generally recommended to stay away from sugar and dairy and they produce excess mucus. As for how many hours a day to practice, everyone is different. I don't know how long you can sing without getting fatigued. Many people take 30-60 minute vocal lessons and are told to practice as long per day by their teachers. My daughters' teacher suggests warming up in the morning with humming before they even speak.
I think damage would come in if you force your voice beyond where it's comfortable going and of course from overuse. Extending your range would come over time just with having practiced. Choose pieces within your comfort zone and maybe one with a slight reach note. Just don't force what isn't ready. It sounds like you know vocal exercises. Vary them from time to time and don't be afraid of the silly ones :-) Truly, a professional could give you better advice.
Best of luck to you,
Marianne

There are books and cd's that will teach you how to improve your voice quality. Practice singing along with your favorite singers and record yourself. When you play it back, you'll hear yourself and can improve your technique. Of course, a voice coach would be great, too.

i dont think of voice high quality may be superior with culmination and vegetables...those in simple terms impact conventional well being! yet you are able to stay away from specific ingredients like genuine chilly water, pickles and so on so as that it would not worsen. for a greater everlasting answer attempt 'sounding sturdy'. what i advise to assert is that what you communicate and how you communicate are greater significant than your voice high quality, except of direction, you wanna be a singer!
