I think you tube will give you a pretty good view on the candidates. Try this one, type each candidate into you tube and find out how much dirt there is on each person. Chances are the more negative vids you find the more chance that person is not a good choice. Listen to the candidates speak does it sound like a speech are they reading from notes or are they fluent and concise about the issues they talk about. The propaganda puppets are easy to spot.

MSNBC.com has a Candidates and Issues Matrix in the Politics section, where you can examine each candidate's opinion/voting record on five key issues and rate whether you agree or disagree, and by how much. It assigns a color code to your response, and you'll eventually have a visual indicator of which candidates are most likely to agree with you on most issues.
All candidates (both Dems and Reps) are included.
