My friend is American and female. When she went to Asia- she says most of the women there aren't nice. She said American women are much friendlier. Why is that?

It's the difference in culture is all. Their idea of what is respectful and polite is different from ours. Actually I prefer the way they behave in Asian countries - Americans are annoying with all their loudness and wanting to hug you and stuff.

If you go to Europe you will not find more friendly women than in Asia.
I have not been to America but here in Australia women are just fantastic, and so are men. This is one the friendliest places on Earth. I was born in Europe and I can see the difference quite well.
I agree with Jaide about the difference in cultures.

Where did she live? In a densely populated area? Crowded cities tend to not be very nice in the first place. Perhaps this could be the reason?
In Europe and Asia, they tend to have a thicker skin. They show a lot of tough love.

It is not just in Asia that women are that way. In Europe too.Americans are really just nicer and friendly than other countries.In other countries it takes years to make friends.

Well that depends on what parts of Asia your friend went. It also depends on how the ways she acts that might disrespect their culture and customs. I have heard and known that some are very friendly and has a lot of hospitality. It's unlikely for an Asian women to not be friendly.
