Sit tight and wait until the hell stops. It has slowed down for me, but is still there. I go to work, try to have a normal life as possible and leave my troubles at home. When I shut the door behind me at the end of the day, that is when I fall apart again. I keep up the hope that one day, my life will get better. I know sometime that there will be a way to climb out of the dark pit I am in.

It depends. Sometimes I just cry my eyes out. It helps, although it doesn't help. I mean, it doesn't solve your problems, but you can at least think a bit more positively after that. Sometimes I play piano. That's an amazing therapy. Sometimes I go and talk to someone I really trust. Sometimes I just sit and think how to solve everything. Life goes on, you can either fall down and stay there on the ground, but you can try very hard to stand up and go on. That's the difference between week and strong people. No one can solve your problems for you, only help you find the solutions.

Kirsty, is there anyone you can talk to? Even a counselor or something? I know it sounds stupid but it can really help, do you any close friends you can confide in and tell them what's going on? When things like that happen, I just try and push past it. Focus on the good things and the future, helping other people makes me feel better and it might for you too. Try and get involved with some charity work, it'll make you feel better seeing other people happy. And my email is always open so feel free to send me a message if you want to talk! Hope things are ok *hugs* :)

I have dysthymia, so it makes it hard for me to process all of what's going on at once. I usually can't stop crying when things like that happen. It takes me a few days to get my head back on straight, and then I'm able to form a plan of action with the help of others.

I shout and swear a lot, and when I finally calm down I go for a long hike in the country and the beauty of the natural landscape and the sight of my favourite trees, birds and animals, revives and restores me

Sometimes pick up the pieces.
Sometimes step over the mess and get the heck out.
Sometimes join in and break apart.

wait 2 weeks, I'm not being a smartass its my philosophy, time changes perspectives depending on what your troubles are. then re-evaluate go another 2 weeks etc. life goes on some wounds heal some don't and we learn to live with them. be proud of what you can do and do it well, dont dwell on the past if it was good remember it if not forget it.

I wish you had given us more information. I think you either try to put some of it back together again, or you walk away from it and start again. If you had emotional involvement in it you mourn for a while before you start over.
