We live in a mobile home, and I noticed my bed was at an angle. I was curious why, so I looked at the carpet. I just thought it was a little hole, but the problem is much worse. My grandma and I cut the carpet, and this is what we see.

It doesn't look like it, but this hole is deep. When I look in, I can see pipes and insulation. How can we repair this? Thanks.

your floor is made of partical board
under that floor you will find floor joists (usually set on 16 inch centers)
to fix the floor you will have to cut the partical board back to the joists then nail in a couple pieces of 2x4 along both joist
then cut a new piece of plywood to the size of the hole you cut and nail it in place
the bad news is that if your floor has broken in one place it will break out in several more unfortunately
personally i would pull up the carpet and install a new 3/4 inch plywood floor right over the top of the partical board wall to wall to avoid any further breaks in that room

Imagine is correct on repairing the hole, but I would wonder what made the hole first. Instead of ripping the carpet up, go under the house to see if there is rips in your underbelly where the hole is. Looks like you have had a critter chewing at your floor. Make sure there is not more under there, if there is you may have to get rid of the critters, call an exterminator. There are any number of reasons why you have a hole in the floor and you need to fix that problem before you have more problems.

I agree with most above posts like one said just put a new piece over it and fasten it down with some screws that would be a temp fix that would hold up if you didn't care about it ,the best would be to cut out a section of that particle board are place it at the joists.Although replacing it all with plywood on top of the particle board i think would be alittle extreme plus ,you would have problems with the floor jam clearance meaning you would most likely have to shave off some about an inch or so off the bottom of your door so it can properly open and close.I would do either of the first 2 not very expensive if anything just replacing the carpet. Also it could be possible you might have some pets underneath it it would be a bad idea to check it out mainly the insulation ,friends of mine had to rip out and replace all their insulation because a problem like that but i would think that more looks like a foot as to someone falling through lol that happened to my mom once lol, but it looks to good to be a animal unless they like carving out art.Good luck.

This way to fix this all depends on if you care if this spot is even with the rest of the floor around it. If you don't care, or if this is hidden under the bed, the simplest fix is to patch it with a piece of plywood a bit larger than the hole. Just screw it down and cover with the carpet. Use 1/2 inch plywood. The patch will stick up obviously.

You're probably going to have to replace the whole sheet of plywood. There is no good reason there should be a hole that size in a good piece of lumber. Pull all the carpet up in the room and see what you're dealing with. It may cost you a couple of hundred bucks, but money well spent knowing it's not going to rot away more.

This is very common in 80's Mobile home construction. Partical board is especially damaged by water and weight. Looks like what I see in the pics. Don't go crazy, but cover at least 3 spans of joists (should be 48") and how long the hole is in width. My step kid once put our toliet through the floor by sitting down hard on it.

You should probably pull up the carpet and replace the entire piece of plywood.

It looks like you need to quit jumping on your bed... or doing rowdy things on it... and for those perverts... get your minds out of the gutters you gits!! LOL. I would either patch it if it is in a spot where you would never see it or i would call someone to fix it if it was out in the open where you would see it or trip over it...
