Hell no. I'm not 'proud' of most things I do.

I'm a smoker. I'm not proud of it, I'm not ashamed of it. Is there a reason to be proud of it? Kind of. Tobacco taxes were 1/2 of 1 per cent of the national income in 1990. And the reason I started? I have an acute sense of smell which smoking helps dull. Cigarette smoke smells better to me than those who bathe in perfume, is less annoying than the fragrance of those plants which you call flowers, but which causes me an allergic reaction, and actually produces less harmful effects than those who rant and rave about smoking for 10 minutes or longer, and I pay for the product, and for all sorts of public works the state and federal governments want to ban me from. Where will the money come from if I don't provide it? Why don't we tax any visitors to any smoke-free public place to pay for the upkeep? You nonsmokers should jump at the chance to put your money where your mouths are. And smokers aren't the only ones with bad breath.

Not exactly proud, but I find that most people who smoke are a friendly lot who have been made feel guilty by a lot of moaners in society who would have us believe that we get all sorts of disceases from all kinds of things. I enjoy smoking so far it hasn't killed me, for the sake of my pocket I wish I hadn't started, but then I take a great pride when I look around the country and think where all the tax from my cigarettes has gone and how the poor Government would have managed without us smoking community

When I did (for 30 years) I was never proud of it. I never smoked at work. Most people didn't know I was a smoker even though I managed to put away 1 -2 packs a day! Yikes!! So glad it's over!!! Don't ever start dear.

I don't smoke and I never will for these reasons...
1. Your breath smells really bad
2. You get cancer a lot easier
3. Your teeth get stained yellow
4. No one wants to kiss someone like that
5. Am I right????
...oh, and you waste a lot of money by buying cirerettes.
Are you proud of this??

I'm not a smoker but I'd just like to take this opportunity to ask another question of all the smokers out there. Smokers, do you realize how bad you stink? When ever you walk past someone who smokes it's just a horrible stench that comes from them (and I don't mean just while they have a cigarette in their hand, it's all the time).

My Aunt smokes and she says "It's the worst deccision I've ever made!" She started to smoke because her roomate smoked and her and all her stuff smelled like smoke. And so she said "What's the difference if I smoke or not?!?!" Hope that helped!

As a non-smoker, I can't see how anyone could be proud of smoking........it's a killer!! apart from stinking clothes and breath - would be like kissin' an ashtray :(
