I am not a singer, neither have I been in touch with music in a long time. But I need something which will look and sound reasonable.

Well, I think something from a musical would be good. Fireflies By Faith Hill because the song is not very high and I can't sing very high I know the words by heart and Its a very good song, so I can easily get into it. Also I love the sound of Faith's voice so I can look up to her as a singer when I sing this song.

Probably "I'll Be There Before The Next Teardrop Falls" by Freddy Fender, because that is a song my Grandma use to sing to me when I was a little kid, and I always liked that song because of that. Of course I'd need to learn spanish in order to sing the words he does in spanish during parts of the song first. Good Luck.
