You have been selected to sing in a talent show. What song would you choose? Why?

I am not a singer, neither have I been in touch with music in a long time. But I need something which will look and sound reasonable.

Please dont forget to answer WHY would you choose that song.

NO RAP songs please!

Well, I think something from a musical would be good. Defying Gravity - Wicked (this is originally a duet, but you could make it into a solo) Popular - Wicked I can hear the bells - Hairspray Cooties - Hairspray I feel pretty - West side story Maria - West side story What i did for love - A chorus line One - A chorus Line On my own - Les Miserables Castle on a cloud - Les Miserables Candle on the water - pete's dragon Big blonde, and beautiful - Hairspray I know where I've been - Hairspray I've just seen a face - Across the universe Blackbird - Across the Universe Or you could sing a disney song When she loved me - Toy story 2 Magic of love - Swan Princess Far longer than fprever - Swan princess (also a duet, which you can change to a solo) etc...... Good luck!

Fireflies By Faith Hill because the song is not very high and I can't sing very high I know the words by heart and Its a very good song, so I can easily get into it. Also I love the sound of Faith's voice so I can look up to her as a singer when I sing this song.

Probably "I'll Be There Before The Next Teardrop Falls" by Freddy Fender, because that is a song my Grandma use to sing to me when I was a little kid, and I always liked that song because of that. Of course I'd need to learn spanish in order to sing the words he does in spanish during parts of the song first. Good Luck.

Bill Withers - Ain't No Sunshine
Song for my 6-year-old daughter whom I was separated from during divorce.

Marc Cohn - Walking In Memphis
A song for all genres - Grammy winner 1991

Harry Chapin - Cats In The Cradle
Original version was also the most powerful. Dedicated to my only son who will be grown up too fast one day.

Blake Shelton - Don't Make Me
Great new country song that presents a challenge.
