Because the rest of them are smart enough to know that it will never happen.

Someone hasn't been listening!
Mike Huckabee wants to do away with wasteful government taxes even federal income taxes.
Those ad's that Romney has been running is not the full context of the clip that shows Mike Huckabee talking about raising taxes in Arkansas.
Romney wants you to believe Huckabee will raise taxes. The only time Huckabee raised taxes was when he legally had to for roads, bridges, schools and it went before the people.
Consider this if he raised the taxes and the people wasn't happy, how did he stay voted in office for 10 years.

THe answer is simple....
We have no Reagan type Conservative Candidates running for President this election cycle.
Some are RINOS.... others are half *** conservatives... or media darlings.
I dont agree with everything Ron Paul says... and certainly will not be voting for him.... but I see your point.
Where are the Patriots who care about reducing taxes and the size of Government?
Where have all the REAL Conservatives gone?

Notice he never says that his cuts to the Department of Education will take away guarantees that education of handicapped children will be appropriate in ALL STATES, since that is where the standards and enforcement occurs ?
Notice that he wants to cut the very regulatory agencies that protect consumers that are currently failing through neglect and unfilled staffing - you want MORE e-coli and poisoned toys?
Other politicians know that we have the advanced and developed government that the US public wants. You get what you pay for. Much better to cut partisanship and cronyism than to cut government back to third-world levels.
It is a special kind of duplicity to pretend that constitutional government means that only things specifically stated in the constitution are permissible.
So I have to conclude that the public has observed what Ron Paul offers and want no part of it.

Please explain how we will pay off the national debt of over 9 trillion dollars under Ron Paul's no nothing (know nothing) plan. How are national highways going to be funded for repairs and expansions? How will we standardize the curriculum in our schools so kids moving from one state to another aren't way ahead or way behind their peers? Take each item on Ron Paul's platform and explain just how he would do it and how we would fill the gap left by not doing it.

They all know they are going to raise them and no need in discussing what they know what they are going to do! Check their past historys...
The Most ridiculous I've heard is Taxing People who drink Bottled water, or fining people for using cell phones or smoking in Illinois. Taxes were never intended to exceed 2-3% of your total earned income.

because he's the only one interested in doing so.
The rest want to make government bigger, broader and more powerful.....they get more power, influence and their ego becomes even larger.
Bigger government is a worsening government.

When you discuss doing something you should only discuss those things you can actually change.
