Hostel? We laughed through that! 28 days and 28 weeks later??? Even my mum laughed through 28 days later, and she jumps at her own shadow!!! There hasn't been a frightening scary film out in ages, seems to be the higher the fx budget, the lower the fear. Back in the day, the story had to do all the work, yes the backdrops wobbled but they were scary!!

the horror action picture replaced back interior the 80's while the gory splatter video clips began to return out, because of the fact it became a clean style action picture makers pandered to this variety and now think of that this is what the common public needs. long long previous are the days once you purchased scared witless and had to sleep with the gentle on for the subsequent couple of days. in recent times after gazing a number of those "horror" action pictures you in basic terms finally end up feeling queasy. you nevertheless get a reliable horror now and then that has you finding over your shoulder, yet they're very few and much between.

it seems like they are just coming up with more inventive ways to kill people, there's no real horror anymore, i watched wrong turn 2 the other day... It starts with some girl getting split down the middle with some bloody great axe, then dragged off in two pieces, it's not scary it's just gore

I agree.......where are the days of Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, Poltergiest etc etc. You know things are getting bad because they keep remaking the classics! I can't think of a genuinely brilliant horror movie in the last 10 years or so......

yea your right horror movies are getting pretty weak now. last movie i saw that even creeped me out was hide and seek and that only creeped me out alittle because Robert DeNiro is a psycho. the exorcism of emily rose was alright too. people are thinking that just because theres blood and gore that makes a movie scary which it doesnt
