Over the past two weeks we have caught 14 mice in my house. I dont know how they are getting in! I keep my house spotless (usually) and i dont know why they came inside!

anyways, do you know any places where mice can get in? I looked around exterior doors but i didnt see any holes.

I live in the south if that makes a difference.

Mice can chew through pretty much anything. It's probably warmer inside than outside, so they want to come in where it's warm. Also, if you have food lying around, that's probably attracting them, too. Be sure to leave all of your food in a pantry or the fridge. (They can chew through food boxes, so you might want to put your foods like noodles, cereals, etc. into those plastic containers.)

They can be coming in from anywhere- a small hole in the wall, behind your couch, or any number of places you can't even see. The next time you see a mouse, watch it to see where it goes. That way you might find its hole. If it continues and you can't figure out where they're coming from, you might want to call an exterminator.

If at all possible, you should use the most humane traps you can find. Mice are smart and can feel pain, so a more humane trap will make things less painful for them.

mice are smart little creatures and they can slip thru very small gaps

to have that many mice though only a few things could have happened

construction in the area made them move ....or

someone living close moved leaving a dirty place and they lived there till they ran out of supplies ....or

maybe you had a couple slip in on you unnoticed a while back and they had a litter or two and now are finally comfy enough to run all over your house not just stay in some packed away box you havent opened in a while

never know

best bet get a few glue traps and put them near all water sources ( under sinks ... kitchen and baths... and near the water heater if it so much as drips )

mice dont mind being a little hungry but they can not survive without water

It's colder this time of year, and the mice like to be warm too.
A mouse can get through any opening it can get its head through.
Short of continuing to trap them, I'd get a cat.
Poisoning mice is not the greatest idea, because if they die in your walls, the smell will be worse than the mice running around.

No. First, the coverage in elementary terms will pay for direct actual loss. The mere existence of rodents isn't seen a actual loss. 2nd, regardless of in the event that they're inflicting harm each and every coverage I certainly have ever reviewed has an exclusion for loss bobbing up from harm brought about by means of birds, vermin, rodents or bugs or animals owned by means of an insured. Sorry, no longer coated.

this time of year there is less natural foods for them to find outside along with larger populations from the warmer months having rodents to venture into structure for food/shelter

other than the obvious of looking for the dime sized or larger entry points...also look above your head, they are great climbers. You may want to clear away any debris or tall grass next to the structure...as another mentioned, with baiting for mice on the inside of the house there is more of a chance of getting an odor than if they were rats you were dealing with but placing bait inside tamper resistant stations outside can help reduce the numbers before they are pushed inside due to large populations outside

Continue setting traps and you will eventually gain control of the situation.
