Okay so it was xmas eve & I was out ot eat in a nice place & I heard an unusual version of "I'm getting nuttin for Christmas". It sounded like it was from the 40s or 50s. Basically it's a female artist singing about how she's not getting anythin for Christmas because she WASN'T bad...things like kissing or sequeezing. It was totally clean...sounded like an Ella Fitzgerald or Eartha Kitt, but I've searched & I don't think its either of them. Anyway it was a cute song...kinda like Santa Baby is a cute semi-sexy song. If you know I'd really appreciate it! Thanks

Try searching on sites that have music, not just a general web search. Try imeem.com or Yahoo's music/radio site. Try amazon.com or mp3 sites - legal or not. Just search for the song and see how many versions come up. Sometimes wikipedia has a list of all versions of a song if the song has its own page.

Short of that, call or go back to the restaurant. There is a possibility that they use a loop tape service and have the song info that came with it.

Wow! I was surprized that the original song was written by Barry Gordon. It was written in 1955.
