Which Genre?
Well, my favorite at the moment is either Bitter Sweet Symphony by The Verve, or Keep Breathing by Ingrid Michaelson.

Hello Tulip,
I think that the song with the nicest melody is 'The Year of the Cat' by Al Stewart.
Have a great 2008.

Michael Martin Murphey - Wildfire
Foreigner - Waiting For A Girl Like You (keyboards: Thomas Dolby)
Paul Davis - I Go Crazy
Coldplay - Clocks
Bronski Beat - Smalltown Boy
The Who - Love Reign O'er Me
Pink Floyd - The Great Gig In The Sky (Live w/Sam Brown doing the hard vocal - link below)
If you have not heard the last one, it doesn't get much better live than that piece of work by Britain's Sam Brown.

"hide and seek" by Imogen Heap. Although one of my favourite openings to a song is in "say it ain't so" by weezer. Oh yeah...
Nice to see there's an Al Stewart fan here as well.
