You are not alone, ok. millions of people have high anxiety or fear of something from a negative situation. I hate to tell people medication is the only way but in some cases it helps them out more than trying to get over it themselves. Listen there are some tips you can do to get over the anxiety. My anxiety comes from public places and anywhere I don't know the majoriy of people. You can picture a lemon, I know it sounds a little on the wacky side, but hear me out. Picture its dimples imagine holding it in your hand the smell of the lemon, the texture of the lemon, The imagine how it tastes in you mouth,. the bitterness the juice running down your chin. This is just one way of calming your self down. Just remeber it is healthier to try everything than to try nothing, Good luck jam87 anxiety damn near ruined my life, don't let it ruin yours. I take it the 87 means the year you were born. so you are 20 years old, you have a life time ahead of you, be strong, have courage in yourself and don't let one situtation affect how you see a certain type of person. Remeber this, life is really a roler coaster, we can't have the ups if we don't have the downs.

My worst years was when I was in junior high school. I will never forget what happened to me.
Believe on this, if I knew then what I know now, there would have been a Colimbine Massacre 40 years ago.
The abuse I took at school from some of my fellow students and lack of concern for my behalf by some of the teachers has tarnished by view about humanity. I can't get it out of my mind. Even today, it makes me shutter.
I'm constantly feeling I'm gonna get screwed again somehow and it usually happens.
I have found a very handy belief that states:
Hope for the best, but, expect the worst!
IT HELPS A LOT

See if there is some type of crisis center with counseling in your area with group counseling for people who have gone through what you have been through. You will find reassurance from others that have been through situations similar to yours. One on one therapy would also probably help too. Good Luck.
