I saw Amonnium Nitrate at the store the other day. And it is NOT triple 13 or triple 8. Its more like 36-0-0

I use 20-20-20, triple 20. Its available in many sizes. I get 20lb bags. (Is it quad 20 then?)

Lots of choices out there for good fertilizers. Sounds like you need a trip to a landscape supply store and a chat with a knowledgable sales person.

If you want some info on organic fertilizers try reading some of the Peaceful Valley Farm Supply site. Lots of info.

the sole element that egg shells will put in her backyard is a tiny little bit of calcium. you're able to do the comparable element by utilising merely crushing them and spreading them around the backyard. You';d get that little bit of calcium and discourage slugs too. 'in case you do no longer desire to apply a commercial fertilizer use compost or manure tea. Manure tea is what victorian gardeners used on their gardens. They placed manure in gunny sacks and soaked it in barrels of water for a pair of days then used the water on their gardens. You get all some super reward of the food interior the manure without the weeds you will get from spreading it on the backyard. you do no longer ought to apply gunny sacks any fabric will do which would be accumulated on the precise and tied off and is powerful sufficient to hold the manure or compost without breaking yet porous sufficient to enable the water soak in.

take your dog's crap and use that. Its cheaper than buying the stuff.

I know that sounds gross but I did that with my dogs crap and it works.

If you dont have a dog, then use your own.

Again, i know thats gross but itll work.
