Doesnt matter who he is, he is now a killer...Go to jail and pay the price that foolish foolish man...I really cannot understand how people can drive drunk. It is such a stupid thing to do. Essentially, you take two lives, the one you kill and then your own spent in prison for the rest of it.

Unfortunately the laws for DUI's are way to lenient. It's like saying okay, go kill somebody with your car & we'll give u 30 days in jail which you probably won't serve because the jails are too full. You'd probably get 30 days of community service. I have to agree with Craig S & Chiefs n Nachos...the punishment is a joke & the families of the person killed see no justice. I live in Ohio..if you get a DUI, they give nice brite yellow plates with red numbers. There are people who have had 5-9 DUI's & still have their license. I agree...Leyritz should pay a penalty & spend a long time in prison but unfortunately, the laws for drunk driving are not strict enough. They should loose their license, all driving privleges & have their car put in an impound lot.

Well, first off I feel sad for the family of the lady he killed and for his family. I don't feel sad for him because he made the choice to drink and drive. It's a shame that it's usually an innocent person that dies in these incidents. Anyways, hopefully he gets the max sentence thats allowed by law. I'm pretty sure that won't happen though. I just don't want to see the same thing as what Leonard Little of the Rams got when he killed a person driving drunk - 90 days in the county pen. Thats a slap in the face to the victim and their family.

I despise driving under the influence, but I doubt he'll spend much time in prison. The law unfortunately still goes quite lightly even on those who commit vehicular homicide, which means he's unlikely to get a lengthy term.

They need to make these laws more strict. The existing rules don't seem to do anything to deter people from continuing to drink and drive.

Any person & I don't care who you are, if you get caught drinking & driving you should have to pay the strictest penalty & fines there are. To me anybody & if someone on yahoo answers drinks & drives you are stupid & I don't care what you think. I go to my local bar which is only a 2 minute drive, if that, to get to & we leave the car home because we can make the 5 minute walk home. The bar is only around the corner from our apartment.

Investigators are still waiting for the results of blood alcohol tests. I think you are right, though. Anyone who drinks in drives belongs in prison.

Let the courts decide his fate. He chose to drive drunk, now he has to pay the piper.

(Unless George passes some $$$$ to the DA)
