LHS
(1 / cos x) - cos x
(1 - cos²x) / cos x
sin ² x / cos x
(sin x / cos x) (sin x)
tan x sin x

RHS

secx - cosx
= 1/cosx - cosx
= ( 1 - cos^2(x) ) / cosx
= sin^2(x) / cosx
= sinx*sinx/cosx
= sinx*tanx

secx - cosx = sinxtanx

1/cosx - cosx

1/cosx - cosxcosx/cosx

1/cosx - cos^2/cosx

(1 - cos^2x)/cosx

sin^2x/cosx

sinx(sinx/cosx)

sinxtanx

secx-cosx = sinxtanx
secx-cosx = 1/cosx -cosx = (1-(cosx)^2)/cosx
=(sin(x))^2/cosx = (sinx/cosx)sinx= tanx sinx
