because 25% of the country is either that evengelical crazy Christian type or they are racisits or they love their guns. These people wouldn't care if Bush beheaded 50 babies on the White House's lawn, they would still support him.

Misinformed or simply afraid to admit they backed the wrong guy. It happens. Interestingly it seems like human nature that even the worst will still have backers. Take Adolf Hitler. Even in 1945 he still had very loyal followers. When Berlin was being flattened by allied bombers and ground troops were entering from all directions and it was apparent the Third Reich was doomed and Hitler had failed miserably he still had those clinging on to him for dear life. So, one could say that those 25%ers are the cling ons that seem to be with even the most abject of failures.

I support George W. Bush because I feel he is a man of conviction. Right or wrong he is steadfast in his beliefs. This is worthy of respect and support.

I don't think it's even that much. It's just that the remaining 25 percent are people who are greedy bigots, and right now he's their representative and they're stuck with him. But a lot of that 25 percent, if they could switch Bush for Cheney, or Giuliani, they would.

It's really quite a bit more than 25% of the country.....of those "POLLED", 25% supported Bush. I was constantly polled when I lived in Ann Arbor, MI. I've never been polled in North Carolina. Since UofM conducts the national polls, I don't find the "results" suprising at all.

Because they take note of the good things that he has done, as opposed to the very bad war he is most often criticized for.
Over fifty percent of the country, and more likely closer to seventy-five percent, would support him if we were not involved in the current wars that we are. If he had hit AQ, and got out, right then, or even hit AQ, then hit Saddam, and THEN gotten out, he would be seen as a military genius and not a greedy, self-serving dumbass.

Because he is another big government Republican. He does not support all conservative principles.
Had he enforced the immigration laws, capped spending, and communicated better he would be in the 50s
