I would certainly listen to the views of my family (but not necessarily my friends) and then think about this before making a final decision. The ones that love you want the best for you. Parents have had more experience in relationships and what will work and what won't. In the end, the decision has to be yours but keep in mind that the consequences ill also be yours to deal with.

If quite a few thought I was making a mistake, I'd at least think a lot harder about what I was going to do. There's a pretty good chance I was missing something that was pretty obvious to them.

But, in the end, a person has to make their own decisions. While the opinion of family and friends might be an indication to look closer, their opinion can't be the reason for my decision.

None of us knows everything. If it's such an important decision there is absolutely nothing wrong with listening to different options and points of views. You are not obligated in any way to do what others suggest to you. You are lucky to have others give different points of views. Just listen and ask all the questions you can to make the best decision for you.

They said they are only looking out for you. But here is the real question do they really know you.We keep alot of things hidden from the freinds and family then we expect them to understand what we are going thru.If you have a true freind, someone you can trust then sit down and spill the beans. If not some times we have to find someone who is willing to listen and who is a stranger to all. Then we can spill the beans to them and see what they say. Also besure that they have nothing to gain by you talking to them and getting their opinon. Then sit down alone and think of how it is going to change your life. Spending money that you don't have can cause hardship on you and others around you. Things to do with your love life and sex life can change the way they look at you. But then living a lie is not good for you either, So I say it's your life live it as you want to but be aware of the fall out from it. I have a frend who wanted to be a call girl. She was a bank tell but hated it so she did what she wanted to do and now her family hates her so she isn't happy. So I asked her why she became a call girl she said she like to freedom of having sex with who ever she wanted to. Now she is a banker by day and at night she goes out and does what she enjoyes doing. Her family knows of both worlds but the don't hate her because she is a bank teller again. Sometime we have to live in two world to please all.

I like to hear other peoples opinions and advice. I take what I need and leave the rest. Sometimes I go along with what they agree, but only because I feel that way too. I am an adult and I make my own decisions.

i feel total support from my family in whatever decision i make (thankfully) so whenever i am making a big life-changing decision, i'd say the biggest influence would be my friends, but you have to do what you have to do, not what anyone else thinks. i'm going through this right now!!

Not usually. I pray about my decisions and go with what I believe to be the best option. My friends and family may offer their opinions, but in the end it is my decision.

No. You have to do what makes you happy even if your friends and family don't agree with you decision. If they truly love and care for you, once they see that you are happier outside of the situation, they will be happy for you. But regardless, they should respect and support your decision even if they disagree with it

When I was younger yes, but I've since learned the only one who has to live with my decisions is me so, I don't even ask their opinion sometimes. I run it by my friends but not always the family. It's your life---you need to live it...
Good luck with your decision!
