I already have a router hooked up for wireless on a different computer in my home.

I called Qwest and they said to hook up the unused usb port on the router to the usb port on the new computer. Then run the set up disc for the router and download the drivers for the usb port. Does that sound like it would work?

You could either give it a wired (cat5/cat6) connection, or purchase a wireless card for the desktop. These are readily available online and in major electronics (circuit City) and office supply (Office Depot) retailers, as well as online retailers (Newegg, PC Connection, Insight.)

Buy a wireless card and install it or you can get a wireless router. The instructions are fairly simple and it's easy to hook up but you need to make sure all other components are enabled to communicate via wireless connection.

Get a USB wireless card. D-Link makes a good one, and they're easier(and often cheaper) than futzing around with opening up your tower, determining which type of PCI slots you have, and so on.

In addition, they're more portable, in the event you ever need to use it somewhere else.

You can get a wireless card for your pc(cheapest), or get a usb wireless device(about $50.) easiest. The usb just plugs into your usb outlet. I have one, you can also very easily use it on any future pc you get.

Two options - install a wireless card into your computer internally into a PCI expansion slot (e.g. http://www.memory-express.co.uk/index.aspx?pageid=17&id=682912&utm_campaign=froogle&utm_source=Froogle&utm_medium=lead&utm_content=Belkin+Wireless+G+Desktop+Network+Card&utm_name=Belkin+Wireless+G+Desktop+Network+Card) - or get a USB wireless dongle that will just plug into one of the USB ports (e.g. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Belkin-802-11g-Wireless-Network-Adapter/dp/B0006374PK)

Hope that helps.
