OK I have a dvd player and a (seperate) dvd recorder hooked up to the same TV. I was wondering if it is possible to record a movie the that i was playing on the dvd player???

Hi brandon1536,

Sure you can. If you are making a copy of your own DVD for backup it is legal.

You will have to bypass the copy protection. To do that you need a device like "Sima T120 GoDVD". It removes the copy guard and enhances the picture. You plug your source DVD player into it and plug it into the input of your DVD recorder.

No, unless your burnt that DVD yourself.

Commercial DVDs have embedded copy protection.

no just get a dvd burner on ur computer
