I'm no colts fan, but I see the way he picks up the tempo on that defense. When he start flying around like a wild man the entire defense picks it up a notch. If you cant see this you are probably a biased colts hater.

Because they know he will comeback to play for them, and he just signed a contract extension with Indy.

The Colts' Bob Sanders celebrates after a defensive stop during the 28-25 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Dec. 2.
Bob Sanders became the highest-paid safety in the NFL when he signed a five-year contract worth $37.5 million with the Indianapolis Colts on Friday, ESPN reported.
The deal includes $20 million in guaranteed money.
Sanders, who would have been an unrestricted free agent after the season, helped spark the Colts' Super Bowl title run last season.

I had never heard of the guy till last years play-offs, every one of the experts said the colts had no defense, and that Kansas City, and then Baltimore was going to run all over them, when that did not happen, it seemed to me like they were all looking for a reason their predictions did not work out, OH!!! Sanders had been hurt, he is back now, so they play the run real well. Never heard of a safety instantaneously fixing a run defense, but that was their story and they stuck to it. Guess you can not argue with success.

Why are patroits fans so obsessed with Mike Vrabel catching another TD pass, or how come chicago fans are so obessed with devin hester getting another return TD. bob sanders are the defense leaders on the field, he only got two int's because people are afraid throw in bob sander's direction.

I'm not a colts fan but I have seen them play without Sanders in the line up and it is a totally different defense. He is all over making plays and is a leading tackler. Usually its not good for your safety to lead that, but he is a monster run stopper. INTs are not everything when it comes to the secondary. So for that team and that D he is a very important part.

Interceptions are not that important for a strong safety. Especially when he's the leader of the Colts defense, which is the best against the pass and one of the hardest hitters.

Because he is one of the best.......That colt D is totally different without him....Hes their leader and he has that really good instinct of being around the ball and making big plays....Bob Sanders rules!

He plays like the game actually means something to him. He is a little guy, but has a lot of energy. He is exciting to watch. I am certain that you are just another hater of the Colts, so of course you wouldn't be able to see that.

That is a good question. Deon Grant is a better rush tackler and Marcus Trufant has seven int's this season. Those are two better DB's than Bob Sanders.
