For the Democrat above talking how great Kennedy and Clinton were let me say get a brain. Talking about a booming economy when Clinton was in. That was not Clinton who caused that. Lets talk about the NAFTA agreement that Bill Clinton pushed through when 2 republican presidents were smart enough not to jump on the bandwagon. Then why don't you do a little research and tell my how many companies relocated jobs to Mexico since Clinton signed NAFTA. Yes are economy is struggling now... but Clinton sending all the jobs to Mexico when George Bush became president did not help. The damage was done. I truly invite you to respond to this one pal since you are so intelligent.

Most Presidents haven't released their IQ to the public...but there have been non-partisan who have researched and determined the probably IQ of past Presidents. Their results:
--FDR (D): 147
--Truman (D): 132
--JFK (D): 174
--Nixon (R): 155
--Gerald Ford (R): 121
--Reagen (R): 105
--George HW Bush (R): 99
--Bill Clinton (D): 182
--George W. Bush (R): 91
"The non-partisan researchers who evaluated the twelve presidents determined that the six Republican presidents for the past 50 years had an average IQ of 115.5, with President Nixon having the highest IQ, at 155. President G. W. Bush was rated the lowest of all the Republicans with an IQ of 91. The six Democrat presidents had IQs with an average of 156, with President Clinton having the highest IQ, at 182. President Lyndon B. Johnson was rated the lowest of all the Democrats with an IQ of 126"

Yes, take a look at the intelligent leaders that have held that office and their successes-
Jefferson- expands the country, sets the framework for our government
Madison- wrote the Constitution that is still in place 200+ years later
Lincoln- saved the Union
FDR- saved the world (sarcasm, but only slightly)
Clinton- Rhodes Scholar, unprecedented economic growth, stability and peace
Now look at the men of questionable intelligence-
Grant- most corrupt administration before current
Kennedy- coasted through education, ill prepared and experienced to lead during height of Cold War, almost blew up world
Reagan- most likely had Alzheimers during his presidency, economy tanked
Bush II- not all together after years of alcohol and cocaine use, economy in shambles, foreign relations in toilet, etc

no. as evidenced by presidents of the past, you could be dumb as a rock and be elected president. then you have folks like jimmy carter and bill clinton who are brilliant.
thing is, a president is little more than a mouthpiece for the power structure. because of this some very intelligent men have had to struggle, too smart for the job. they see the way things should be but cannot implement programs simply because it doesn't make sense to joe schmo. look how many people think shrub is such a good president. he appeals to people's base instincts.

Doesn't appear to be any correlation at all. It's more a correlation between cost and payment.

Absolutely not.
The presidency is not a dictatorship... they do have cabinets and 100s of aides. The presidency is not determined by one man's IQ.

This President can barely feed himself but he's finishing up a second term. So, I suppose the thing to do is to look at the IQ of Republican supporters. :)

JFK-smart=good president that some stupid hick shot
Bill Clinton-smart=economy boomed during his tenure
GW Bush-dumb as a rock=America suffers through 8 hellish years of a sluggish economy and rediculous fuel costs.
I'd say yes, there is.

Seeing how "success" is subjective as to how you are looking at it. It is safe to assume that there is no correlation.
Being as dumb as a rock (G Dubs) and making idiotic decisions seem to share some common ground.
