Mostly Nikon DLSR D200 digital camera or a Nikon F6 for still photos from film.
Some of their freelance photographers may use Canons -- EOS 400D or EOS5D for digital work or an EOS40D or a EOS5D for still film photos.

Reuters TV and APTV would use Sony HD Betacam -- either the XD CAM HD or the HDCAM. So would CNN, NBC, CBS etc.

That's a damn good question! I've always wondered that, but never thought about asking about it. I'd love to have one of their cameras! they take awesome pics

it's .. HDV cameras, Panasonic, (in News Depart.)

PD 170(sony) , in National Geographic or Discovery. (and also in making daramaz and telefilms).

HD 70(panasonic). it's for outdoor .. like street type of shows ..

actually i always wondered that also, but i think its those.. Big cameras that cost like over $3000
