About 50% of all people who apply to medical schools **EVENTUALLY** get in.
Many do not get in on the first try. Many don't get in on the third try. But persistence works wonders.
And you don't apply to pre-med. You are pre-med if you set out to complete the required coursework and apply to medical school. Pre-med as a major is bollocks, and most respectable universities do not offer it.
You can major in ANYTHING and qualify for medical school provided you complete the following courses:
1 year general chem (with lab)
1 year organic chem (with lab)
1 year general biology (with lab)
1 year intro. physics (with lab)
1 year English
1 year calculus
Suggested coursework includes: psychology, statistics, biochemistry, humanities. Not required, but useful.
Anyway, if you want to go to med school badly enough, you will do whatever it takes to get there. Not everyone can go to Hopkins and Harvard. Many go to less selective schools or schools in the Caribbean. Some people will do post-baccalaureate programs to boost their qualifications. Some (like me) go to grad school.

Why would you misinform your dad and mom? they're gong to be sure your checklist card. Pre-Algebra is easy: 2x+5=7 2x=7-5 x=a million do exactly the comparable portion of the two aspects. 9th grade is a splash overdue to be having a no longer undemanding time with Pre-algebra. i became in Alg II in 9th grade. you need to enable your dad and mom understand so as which could get you tutoring. Your going to have math problems for many extra years in case you dont look for help
