Sure, it is certainly a good thing. I believe what your teacher is trying to say is that your writing style allows you to communicate what would normally be verbal communication. To simplify a little - most average to poor writers tend to put things into words that make it seem simple and childish. "He wanted his girlfriend back very badly and cried a lot at home" would be an example of that. "Staying curled up in a mountain of blankets for days on end was the only activity his broken soul would allow him to do as he mourned the day his love walked out of his life" would be a simple example of the difference.
Keep at it - you seem to be on the right track :)

As everyone is saying here, this is definitely a good thing, something you need to pay attention to and to continue to work on. But also realize that your "writing voice" is not you. It is the voice you have chosen to put across whatever you want to put across. It could vary greatly, depending on what you are writing. For instance, the voice you use for a killer mystery story would certainly be a different one than what you use on a note to someone you like. That's the point I wanted to add: your strong writing voice is a tool, something you very consciously decide to use. You have clearly chosen well!

It means you grab her attention.
Ever read something that was very clear what they were saying?
It is a good thing and should be developed. writing well is an ability that you will have to use in every decent job you plan on holding, not to mention if you ever went political it would really be a capstone foryou.
Ask her to explain and find out how to develop it further.
good job!

It is usually meant to say that a person writes with conviction, and very persuasively. Usually people with that gift make great editorial writers or speech writers.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H._L._Mencken has a collection of links to samples of the classic example of a strong writing voice if you're curious?

I think it means that you can speak and express skillfully in your writing. It's a good compliment; your teacher obviously believes you have talent.
Hope this helps!
